Industrial designer and optical art fan
I’m Camille, the industrial designer behind AEREA STUDIO. My passion for design began in childhood, inspired by the products and illustrations of the 40s, 60s, and 70s, particularly the streamlined and Op art movements. A pivotal moment for me was when I started collecting designer pieces, acquiring my long-dreamed Eames rocking chair with my first paycheck. I know, that may sound stupid but I was obssessed.
After years of collaborating with leading fashion brands on jewelry, special products and furniture, I developed a deep understanding of the jewelry industry. This experience led me to confront essential questions: Why is so much jewelry short-lived? Why do many pieces look the same? Why can't we prioritize quality and offer repairs? This is why I started to 3D sculpt unique jewelry and produce with a sustainable practice.

My love for optical effects, architecture and new technologies, combined with my Mediterranean roots, shapes AEREA's unique visual identity.
The organic lines, sunset-inspired gradient colors, and intriguing textures reflect a balance of beauty, slowness, and dynamism.

In my practice I also strive to expand the horizons of 3D technique possibilities, crafting shapes that are unattainable without the assistance of 3D technologies. I truly see it as a new perspective on sculpting. 3D sculpting. This produces shapes and effects exclusive to this methodology.
Despite the containment and liberation of technique with 3D, the involvement of the human hand and mind is indispensable to achieve a finished piece.
It really is a new language between traditionnal crafts and current technologies.
Home access-story
The transition into homeware came naturally.
While preparing for a design show, I crafted 3D-printed display props for my jewelry.
Their sculptural lines garnered such positive feedback that I expanded them into a collection of limited-edition vases and candle holders, made from bio-sourced materials and crafted in Paris.
My family and friends were so enthusiastic that I decided to conduct a sales trial at le Printemps Haussmand for a POP UP featuring AEREA STUDIO's jewellery collection. The positive feedback prompted me to organize another POP UP 2 months later and launch the collection online.
I am now collaborating with architects, hotels and restaurants to bring a modern and unique touch to their interiors with the home accessories collection.
